Alhurra (Arabic for “The Free One”) is a TV Channel operated by the non-profit corporation “The Middle East Broadcasting Networks, Inc.” (MBN). MBN is financed by the U.S. Government through a grant from the Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG), an independent federal agency. Alhurra is primarily news and information programming. The network hosts a number of discussion programs that examine political and social issues of interest to the audience in the Middle East, airing viewpoints not often discussed freely in the region.
I started working on refreshing the brand for the channel including conceptualizing and implementing new branding for both promotions (Menu, End Tags, Next & Now, snipes...etc) and news (Opener, Bumpers, lower-thirds, CGs... etc) as well as the redesign of the Alhurra logo.
